Project Bonnie: A Lochside Home in The Heart of a Scottish National Park

Positioned on the banks of a secluded loch within one of Scotland’s most celebrated national parks, Project Bonnie is a bespoke, five-bedroom residence that blends striking modern design with deep sensitivity to its natural context. Spanning three levels, the home has been carefully planned to harness natural light and capture panoramic views across the water and surrounding hills.

From day one, the project has prioritised a respectful dialogue between building and landscape. Every element reflects a desire to create something contemporary yet grounded in place. The interior is designed to encourage connection and flexibility, with distinct zones for family life, entertaining, and quiet retreat.

We’ve been delivering full project management services since the early stages, working closely with the design team to navigate a complex site. It’s been a real pleasure collaborating with Thomas Robinson Architects, whose thoughtful design approach and clear communication have made them fantastic partners throughout the process.

Site conditions have presented early technical challenges: excavation has revealed highly variable ground conditions, requiring rock-breaking in some areas and, in others, extensive probing to locate suitable load-bearing strata. Despite this, progress has remained steady, and the groundwork is now advancing well.

Currently, foundation and lower basement works are in progress, with kit erection scheduled to begin mid-August. Once structural elements start rising, the distinctive form of the house will begin to reveal itself.

Completion is targeted for spring 2026, and we’re looking forward to sharing more as this exceptional lochside home takes shape.
